Conversion rate optimisation is the process of optimising your website's landing pages and sales funnels to stand the best chance of converting to leads or sales.

  1. Treat EACH page on your website as a potential landing page - users often enter pages directly from Google and don't land on your site through your home page. Make sure that you have sufficient call to action and directions to get users into your sales funnels.
  2. Use high contrast call to action - let your call to action buttons, or text, stand out from the rest of your website content. This increases the chances of it being read or clicked on.
  3. Qualify leads upfront - explain what potential customers can expect when dealing with your company and give rough price indications of your products and services to qualify leads. Further, funnel leads into specific 'buckets' of specialisation for specific services or products so that it's the best match when they contact you.
  4. When running an e-commerce store, give a rough indication on lead times for product delivery.
  5. Reduce the number of steps to final conversion - don't force users to read 5 pages of content to reach your final conversion. Make it easy to engage with your company!
